Total Productive Maintenance: A Foundation of Operational Excellence by Peter Willmott, John Quirke, and Andy Brunskill Receives Shingo Publication Award
Summary: After trained examiners and accomplished business professionals performed a thorough assessment of their work, Peter Willmott, John Quirke, and Andy Brunskill have been selected as recipients of an internationally recognized award from the Shingo Institute, a program in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. The authors will receive the award at the 34th Annual Shingo Conference in Orlando, Florida, on May 19, 2022.
LOGAN, Utah — The Shingo Institute, a program in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University, has awarded Peter Willmott, John Quirke, and Andy Brunskill with the Shingo Publication Award for their book, TPM: A Foundation of Operational Excellence.
“Receipt of the Shingo Publication Award signifies an author’s significant contribution and practical application to the body of knowledge regarding enterprise excellence,” said Ken Snyder, executive director of the Shingo Institute.
The book is aimed at three target areas within a particular business enterprise. These areas are the continuous improvement and engineering specialists, the business leadership team, and the practitioners. When engaged, these target areas use the TPM system as the bottom-up enabling tool to help deliver the company’s business drivers, vision, values, and culture.
