Congratulations 2019 Recipients

2019 was a banner year for Shingo awards. When an organization challenges for the Shingo Prize, they must first submit an achievement report that determines if an on-site assessment is warranted. If the Shingo Prize Examiner committee agrees that the organization warrants an on-site visit, a team of Shingo Examiners goes to the organization’s facility to perform a rigorous assessment. Just the fact that they received an assessment indicates that a tremendous amount of continuous improvement work has been done. If an organization comes away with any award at all, they are to be congratulated. It is a huge achievement.

The final reports for all the 2019 Shingo Prize challengers are now complete and the list of recipients is below. Please join us for the Awards Gala of the 2020 Shingo Conference in Orlando this April to honor all the recipients and hear their stories and lessons learned.

Congratulations to all the 2019 Shingo award recipients!

Shingo Prize

The Shingo Prize is based on a complete assessment of an organization’s culture and how well it drives world-class results. Shingo examiners focus on the degree to which the Shingo Guiding Principles of the Shingo Model™ are evident in the behavior of every employee. The examiners observe behavior and determine the frequency, duration, intensity, and scope of the desired principle-based behavior. They also observe the degree to which leaders focus on principles and culture, and managers focus on aligning systems to drive ideal behaviors at all levels.
