The Shingo Institute works hard to ensure organizations have the best learning experience possible. You will work one-on-one with Shingo team members to design the tour of your choice around your organization’s ideal content and focus. A Shingo customized private study tour will engage your team and provide a top-notch educational experience that includes dedicated time with host company leadership, industry experts, Shingo Institute leaders, and the opportunity to see Shingo Guiding Principles at work in multiple facilities.

You Choose

  • Your destination—countries previously visited include Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Peru, UK, and USA.
  • The duration of the tour
  • The tour’s focus, such as a particular industry, the Shingo Guiding Principles, or gaps in your organization
  • The meals and travel expenses we should include in the tour package
  • Any additional cultural experiences, such as sampling a local cuisine or participating in a sightseeing excursion
  • A Shingo workshop (choose from one of six) to include in the study tour, if desired

* A half-day workshop provided by a Shingo Faculty Fellow based on a specific need/gap, if desired

Pricing

Pricing will vary based on your specific requirements. Please consider the following:

  • Our standard rate for a three-day public tour is $4,500 per person, which includes three nights at a hotel, breakfast, selected lunches, and ground transportation from the hotel to the companies.
  • For a private tour, the company must commit to a minimum of 12 participants or an equivalent estimated revenue.
  • The Shingo Institute requires a good faith deposit of 50% of the estimated revenue from your group to initiate the planning process.
  • A minimum planning period of eight weeks is necessary.
