Biography

Morgan Jones has over 30 years of experience implementing Lean and Six Sigma across diverse industries, including marine, heavy engineering, consulting, utilities (water and electricity), telecommunications, manufacturing, mining, financial services, electronic equipment, government, and petrochemical (oil and gas). A seasoned leader, he has run a business unit with full P&L responsibility and successfully led multiple business turnarounds.


A Chartered Engineer, Certified Master Black Belt, Master Lean Practitioner, Executive Coach, and Shingo Prize Examiner, Dr. Jones has made significant contributions to business improvement, delivering over $2.21 billion in hard savings while enhancing customer and employee experiences, as well as health and safety outcomes. His work has earned more than 23 international awards, three literary awards, and recognition as the chair of 27 international conferences on business improvement and transformation.


Dr. Jones led a bank in Australia to become the first to receive a Shingo Silver Medallion and supported a mining site in Chile in achieving the Shingo Prize. He received the Shingo Publication Award in 2019 for 4+1: Embedding a Culture of Continuous Improvement and again in 2022 for Why Bother?, and is the author of six additional books, donating proceeds to Australian charities. Recognized as a thought leader in behavioral transformation, he is a highly regarded coach known challenging the status quo and developing new thinking.
